You must understand that at no fault of our own, our culture being enslaved took away our right to be crowned as the Queens we are. The duties, roles and rights of a Queen must now be earned through growth as opposed to a crowing ceremony. While many of us have taken on this title by mere right, it is unfair to call yourself as such if you have not gone through some sort of growing process. If you read in my crazy life, it consisted of many violations, neglect and heartbreak. My attempted suicide was my breakthrough in the recognition of not only who I was, but what I was. I know invite you to turn your pain into power and do your own crowning as your life was the actual ceremony. You survived; initiation complete. Now, design your own crown and wear it proudly in all that you do. Embrace the truth that there is power after pain, if you are paying attention and put in the work to be your own co-creator. Make your enemies bow down to you. Not physically, but emotionally, financially and with authority with the true level of respect you deserve.

Some would say I was too much to be in this world, yet still here, I am. Some say that since I am an accident, I would cause more havoc than peace. She is too active, too outspoken too fast, too strong willed. She thinks too highly of herself and asks excessively many questions. She will be your burden. Ironically, they were all right. I am still to this day all those things with touch of arrogance that sways when I move. I dance to no one’s tune. However, these traits were bestowed upon me while I was in my mother’s womb. Thus, they are mine by default. A choice that was chosen for me without my consent. Little did I know these traits would be needed for my survival.
